Lines & Shapes
I choose to take images of normal everyday things you find around your house. I did this because it shows that everyday you walk past things and don't even realize that there is shapes and lines in everything. In these photos I decided to get a more up close look at the objects. I thought that this would really focus the viewer on just a few possible points of interest. I took these photos at the lower point of view and straight on. i did this depending on what object i was photographing so it could have a more interesting look to it. I tried to take most of my photos vertically so it would give the viewer less view to the sides and i could crop out the top so the viewer has less space to observe and is more forced into focusing on a certain spot.
In my photos i also took in account the rules of thirds. I used the rules of thirds in the picture with my puppet in it that uses its shadow. I took it off center so it didn't disrupt the image and took the viewer off the shadow which is the focus of that image. My second image is my personal favorite. It helps guide the viewer's eyes along each line of the vent and the angle helps give the vent the illusion of it being longer than it actually is and pinching down until the lines almost meet.

Texture & Pattern
The best photograph I took for the texture and pattern section of this term was the up close shoot of the dew tipped flowers. i took the photo from above the flower because it gives you a good view of the dew on the flower. I took my photo horizontally. this photo follows the rules of thirds because it looks more pleasing being off centered in the picture. This photo is an example of pattern because it shows the same shapes of the pedals all around the flower.
